I used a lot of over exposure and contrast to take my pictures. I like vivid color and more artistic aspects in my pictures. In the night picture with the red sky I used color red to highlight the tree line that otherwise would not be seen at night. Also I took a picture of a single bulb but changed the focus of my camera and ISO to 400 to produce a single light picture that can’t be identified. In the chair picture I used underexposure to produce an spooky gray affect in the picture. I choose these pictures because I was able to manipulate the light and color to give my pictures a more unique effect. When people view my photos I would like them to have a feeling or an emotion that allows them to feel curious about what it is they are actually looking at. When people view my red night picture and chair picture they might feel uncomfortable or apprehensive to look at it again. I know pictures can offer a spectrum of emotion. Not always good emotion. I choose to work with subjects of landscape and objects. I took pictures of the water tower and power lines with the focus being obscured by another object. I think it offered a different element to these pictures. People can be drawn to several concepts in a picture. Focus, light, and balance can sometimes offer a different perspective. I am most inspired by color.  I think color offers a beautiful and unique aspects to pictures.

  1. The “creepy” chair turned out really well! The additional light really adds to the overall photo. The perspective that the shot was taken is unique and captivating. I feel like it could be a movie or book cover.
